Creating soda water has come a long way since it was discovered. There are now a lot of equipment that can be used to make this mixture easily. One of the most common ones are soda siphon or seltzer bottle which is a special kind of bottle that can seal water at high pressure creating a perfect condition to insure maximum solubility of gas with liquid. Soda siphon is common in bars even in the early 20s. It can either be a glass or a metal pressure container with a release valve that can easily dispense carbonated water. There is also the codd-neck bottle that is also created to hold carbonated drinks. The bottle contains a marble enclosure with a rubber gasket/washer. The marble traps that gas inside when the bottle is filled upside down. The bottle has a unique shape that able to hold the marble in its place.

Originally, carbonation setups are only available in drinking establishments like soda fountain back in the day. Now it is produced on a large scale and being available in the market for people who wants to enjoy it. But these drinks are usually available for more than a dollar which is high compared to the actual cost to make the mixture of water and carbon dioxide. This is the reason why people start creating their own carbonation system at home. As long as they keep the temperature down and pressure high they can surely be able to obtain the best condition to dissolve carbon dioxide to water. Carbonation is just an easy process to understand as long as there is right equipment to use. There is now a number of good carbonation setups available that can just be easily copied and can also be improved to produce a good soda water.
